CNC SETTER OPERATOR
Candidates must have a minimum of five years CNC setting and operating experience and must be conversant with both CNC milling and turning disciplines to an advanced level. A working knowledge of SMARTCAM would be advantageous. Experience of Heidenhain, Fanuc and HAAS control systems is required, although training would be given. It would be desirable if candidates had a working knowledge of any of the following machinery:
HAAS CNC Mill
HAAS TL15 CNC Turning Centre
Bridgeport APC600 CNC Twin Pallet Mill
Kitimura Mycentre 1B & 3
Hardinge Conquest 42 Lathe
Applications should include specific reference to the types of machinery candidates have used. Candidates will have the initiative to work with minimal supervision and be able to co-operate within a small team environment. Applicants should be flexible as there will be occasions when the machine shop runs for 12 hours unmanned and the team is required to keep the production flow running efficiently. The job requires manual lifting of raw material and finished components so candidates will need to take this into consideration when applying.
